The CNMI Innovation Incubator Program is expanding its support to emerging entrepreneurs and young leaders through a free Financial Literacy Workshop focused on strengthening essential money management and business finance skills. To broaden its impact, the program has opened this training to college students interested in building a strong financial foundation.

The workshop will take place on Saturday, February 28, 2026, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the NMSA Conference Room at Ada Gym. This session is part of the program’s ongoing strategic business training series and will be offered in collaboration with the Northern Marianas College Center for Training and Innovation. All registered participants can attend the workshop at no cost.

While the session is primarily designed for innovators currently enrolled in the program’s first cohort, it also serves as an outreach opportunity for college students who are exploring entrepreneurship, preparing to enter the workforce, or seeking practical financial skills they can apply immediately.

Participants will learn key topics including budgeting, cash flow management, forecasting, basic bookkeeping, and understanding funding options such as loans and grants. The session will also include hands-on activities using simple tools and templates to help participants confidently manage their finances for personal use, academic planning, or future business ventures.

“This workshop is about meeting students where they are and equipping them with practical tools they can carry forward,” said Cherese Palacios, Program Manager. “By opening this session to both our innovators and college students, we hope to encourage smarter financial habits and build confidence in managing money early on.”

Space is limited, and registration will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Advance registration is required to secure a spot. Participants may register at tr.ee/SmartMoneyHabits
