The latest news from Northern Marianas College

Northern Marianas College (NMC) has announced that the Spring 2026 term is ending early in response to the ongoing recovery from Super Typhoon Sinlaku. This student-centered approach, developed by the College’s Academic Programs and Services (APS), aims to uphold academic integrity while accommodating the devastating challenges faced by students and faculty.

Dear NMC Community,

The devastation from the typhoon is profound across the Commonwealth, including our campuses on Saipan and Tinian. I’m sure you have seen (and continue to see) the disaster through photos and videos from chat groups, social media, news outlets, and through your own experiences: we have also received reports of employees and students who have lost homes (or sections of their homes) or who have had to hide in their bathrooms as the long-lingering typhoon tracked away from our islands.

Students who are interested in pursuing a career in nursing can apply to become part of the Northern Marianas College Nursing Department’s newest cohort in the Fall 2026 semester. Those who meet the program’s requirements can submit their application beginning Monday, April 13, to Wednesday, May 13, 2026.
