The International Student Services (ISS) office at Northern Marianas College (NMC) supports international student enrollment, academic success, and program completion or transfer, in alignment with the College’s mission.
ISS offers a wide range of services to help international students thrive, including admissions guidance, student employment, exchange programs, and information about campus and community life. Our team also provides support with visa and immigration matters to ensure students maintain their status in the U.S.
Once granted F-1 visa status, students must carefully maintain their status. Common ways students can fall out of status include failing to enroll in a full-time course load or working without authorization. To stay on track, students should maintain regular contact with a Designated School Official (DSO) and report changes such as address updates, course registration, travel plans, and employment.
At NMC, our International Student Services team is here to guide you through both your academic and immigration journey. Our authorized DSOs assist with visa compliance, work authorization, travel signatures, and other immigration-related questions. If your primary DSO is unavailable, any other DSO on our team can assist you, ensuring you always have reliable support.
