Northern Marianas College’s Center for Training and Innovation (CTI), in partnership with 500 Sails announces Cohort 4 of its popular Basic Traditional Seamanship: Lalayak (Sailing) Certificate Program, offered through the 500 Sails Cultural Maritime Training Center. This three-week course invites participants to immerse themselves in the art and tradition of Micronesian canoe culture, blending cultural learning with practical sailing experience.

Northern Marianas College's Center for Training and Innovation (CTI), in partnership with 500 Sails, will offer the fifth cohort of its Cultural Maritime Training Center: Traditional Navigation – Module I program. This 8-week immersive course invites participants to discover the ancient art of traditional navigation and the cultural knowledge that has guided seafarers across the Pacific for generations.

Northern Marianas College is reminding all students that classes will remain on the As Terlaje campus when the Spring 2026 term starts on Tuesday, January 20. The College is also extending the add/drop period until January 30, which will give returning/admitted students more time to register for classes.

(Rota, MP) – The Rota Small Business Development Center (SBDC) will host a no-cost Federal Contracting Training on January 13 and January 14, 2026, at the NMC Rota Center, Computer Lab. Both days will offer the same training, allowing participants to select the date that works best for their schedule.
