The CNMI Innovation Incubator Program is continuing its mission to strengthen the entrepreneurial landscape in the Northern Mariana Islands. The program will launch its first of its series of strategic business training sessions on December 13, 2025, with a workshop on Business Planning and Strategy scheduled from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Multi-Purpose Center. This session will be facilitated by the Northern Marianas College Center for Training and Innovation (NMC-CTI).

This kickoff session is designed to equip startups from the program’s inaugural cohort with practical tools to grow and strengthen their businesses. Innovators will learn how to refine their business plans, select effective business models, conduct SWOT analyses, and define key performance metrics—skills they can immediately apply to their own unique ventures.

The training will be presented by Nicole Babauta, senior consumer sales manager for Docomo Pacific, whose extensive business experience in the CNMI provides participants with actionable guidance tailored to their individual business needs.

“Our innovators already have a solid foundation in their businesses,” said Cherese Palacios, Program Manager of the CNMI Innovation Incubator. “This training series will help them sharpen strategic thinking, strengthen day-to-day operations, and confidently advance their ventures. We look forward to seeing how they apply these tools to refine their ideas and continue growing.”

This strategic training series demonstrates the program’s commitment to fostering a thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem in the CNMI, helping local innovators develop sustainable businesses and make a meaningful contribution to the community.
