SPC Jamerie Paras, a 2022 graduate of Northern Marianas College’s School of Business, is working towards becoming a combat medic specialist of the U.S. Army at Fort Sam in Houston, Texas.

Seventy-four students from Northern Marianas College pledged to distinguish themselves through academic excellence by contributing to the community and the Commonwealth through various community service and leadership activities as new members and officers of the Beta Lambda Psi Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa or PTK International Honor Society.

A business start-up that wants to build a shrimp farm that will also have a specialty restaurant that will serve a variety of shrimp dishes and a young food delivery business in the CNMI were each named the winners of the inaugural SEED to Sail event last Friday at the GrandVrio Resort.

IN the CNMI’s first ever Supporting Entrepreneurs and Economic Development, or SEED, to Sail Competition, Eddy Jo’s Shrimp Shack took home the Proa Award in the new business category, winning $20,000 in seed money and automatic admission into the soon-to-be-launched Northern Marianas College Incubator Program.

Individuals who are looking to further their education or advance their professional career are encouraged to register for Northern Marianas College’s upcoming Spring 2023 semester, which begins on January 17, 2023. 

The Associated Students of Northern Marianas College or ASNMC will host three town hall meetings to ask the candidates for governor and lt. governor about issues relating to the economy, environment, healthcare, workforce development, and education.
