The latest news from Northern Marianas College

This past weekend, Northern Marianas College mailed students the final disbursement checks for funds made available by the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (ARP) - Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF). The funds are provided by the U.S. Department of Education, through an appropriation by the U.S. Congress, to help cover emergency costs that arose due to COVID-19, such as food, housing, health care (including mental health care) or child care.

The emergency financial aid grant were mailed to all students enrolled in the Spring 2022 semester. Students determine how they may use their emergency financial aid grant within the allowable uses, but are reminded that these funds may be the last disbursement from this source of congressionally-approved funds.

NMC encourages students to apply for other financial assistance made available to CNMI residents in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. Please check your NMC student email regularly for updates, FAQs, and links for important information.
