Java Joe’s is the latest company to sign on as a Northern Marianas College ProaPerks Partner, joining many other businesses and organizations. All card-carrying members of the NMC ProaPerks program can now receive a 10% discount on all food and beverages.

NMC’s Staff Senate Recognizes Outstanding Employees

Northern Marianas College’s Staff Senate awarded three employees as “Staff of the Quarter” as part of the College’s efforts to recognize its hardworking and committed staff members. The three are Facilities and Admin Services administrative manager Shirley Blas, Office of Admissions and Records administrative manager Kenneth Gabrido and NMC Foundation coordinator Carla Sablan. Each of them will receive a prize and a reserved parking space for the quarter.

US Department of Interior – Office of Insular Affairs director Nik Pula (center) recently met with Northern Marianas College Board of Regents and staff to discuss the college’s rebuilding efforts and other recent institutional developments.

This past weekend, Northern Marianas College mailed students the final disbursement checks for funds made available by the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (ARP) - Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF). The funds are provided by the U.S. Department of Education, through an appropriation by the U.S. Congress, to help cover emergency costs that arose due to COVID-19, such as food, housing, health care (including mental health care) or child care.

As part of its efforts to promote local entrepreneurs, the CNMI Small Business Development Center Network (CNMI SBDCN) will be hosting a Small Business Night featuring new and upcoming local entrepreneurs and their products and services. The community is invited to attend.
