Thirty-eight new Department of Corrections officers received their Certificate of Completion in Basic Law Enforcement and their badges at their graduation ceremony yesterday at the Pacific Islands Club Saipan. The academy was done in partnership with the Northern Marianas College and the CNMI Department of Labor. The new officers earned 40 college credits from NMC during the program and were trained in multiple subject areas that included Abnormal Psychology, Law and the Corrections Officer, Juvenile Justice, and the Dynamics of Substance Abuse.

The CNMI Department of Corrections welcomed 38 new officers following the graduation ceremony of the 9th Cycle Corrections Academy held at the Pacific Islands Club Saipan. Yesterday, a total of 38 corrections academy cadets were administered the oath of office by CNMI Supreme Court Chief Justice Alexandro C. Castro.
