Northern Marianas College is reminding the community that the deadline to submit applications for admission for NMC’s Spring 2022 semester is December 1, 2021. The deadline to register for classes for the Spring 2022 semester is January 3, 2022.
Bobbie is currently an Assistant Professor for the School of Business. She joined the School of Business in 2012 and has assisted with the development of the Bachelor of Science in Business Management degree.
The safety of the residents of the CNMI remains the top priority of the Governor’s COVID-19 Task Force and the Commonwealth Healthcare Corporation (CHCC). With approximately 90% of the CNMI’s adult population receiving at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine and approximately 84% of its residents fully vaccinated, combined with the rollout of the pediatric COVID-19 vaccines, the Governor’s COVID-19 Task Force and the CHCC will be implementing a comprehensive testing and surveillance strategy that will strengthen the travel process to rapidly identify and contact CNMI residents at risk of exposure to COVID-19.
The reception to returning to in-person classes at the Northern Marianas College has been very positive so far, said NMC president Dr. Galvin Deleon Guerrero on Monday. NMC resumed in-person classes last week, Nov. 8 to 12, after closing for 10 days in accordance with an Oct. 29 directive by Gov. Ralph DLG Torres that closed in-person classes at all schools in the CNMI after the recent discovery of community cases of COVID-19.
The Commonwealth Healthcare Corporation, in partnership with the CNMI Public School System, will offer school-based COVID-19 vaccinations at PSS schools. The effort follows the approval of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine for children ages 5 to 11 years old by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on Nov. 2, 2021.
